                                 Give it a go!!

Interested in giving your favourite sport that competitive edge? Or maybe you just want to get better on your board or skis? Or even just want to make a close group of friends that will last a life time? Then the Liverpool Snowriders race team is where you want to be!
Racing is the perfect way to get better, there'll be feedback at all of our training sessions to help you improve and theres no need to worry about looking bad, I couldn't get past the 3rd gate when I started last year and now I'm race captain!!! Don't worry if never done it before, most people will be in the same position, but everyone has to start somewhere!
Racing is also the cheapest way to enjoy skiing at uni! Because most of our racing and training is done on dryslope, rather than those fancy multi-million pound snowdomes, its a lot cheaper than any other way to go skiing. Plus, theres no need to buy all of the racing equipment, everywhere that we race or train has equipment hire included in the price and we can help out with anything extra!

Training

This year we're hoping to train every fortnight (probably on a Friday) at Rossendale ski centre, so there'll be plenty of opportunities to give racing a go! After training there'll be the chance to go into Liverpool for a night out and get to know the rest of the team. As well as training on dryslope, there's fitness training in the gym twice a week. These sessions are a great way to get fit, which really helps your skiing and/or boarding!

Teams

Last year we had 2 mixed teams, 1 ladies team and 1 snowboard team but this year we want more! So get involved and bring all your friends! Last year might have been our biggest and best year for racing, lets make this year even bigger and even better!!!

                       Up-coming competitions!!!

4th Feb - Kings round 4 at Sheffield (fancy dress theme is 'QUICK, CALL 999')

                                    Calendar

From the start of term you'll be able to see (hopefully) a full, up to date calendar of all of the racing events, including competitions, training and everything else!
